1. Operator and agreement
ThreadQuery is a service name used by an individual operator and is not affiliated with X Corp. In these terms, "ThreadQuery," "we," and "us" refer to that individual operator.
By creating an account or using the website, dashboard, or API, you agree to these terms. If you use ThreadQuery for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement.
Legal notices may be sent to [email protected].
2. The service
ThreadQuery provides access to public X data, customer-authorized account actions, and optional dedicated infrastructure. Public reads and account actions use separate execution paths with different limits and failure behavior.
ThreadQuery is an independent, unofficial service. It is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with X Corp. Upstream interfaces, data, account restrictions, and availability may change without notice and may affect the service.
3. Accounts and credentials
You must provide a working email address and protect your password, dashboard session, API keys, connected-account sessions, and devices. You are responsible for requests made with credentials issued to your account until you revoke them or notify us of suspected compromise.
You may connect only X accounts that you own or are expressly authorized to control. You must review API-key scopes, credit budgets, and account selection before enabling account actions.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use ThreadQuery to violate law, third-party rights, or rules that apply to your use of X. Prohibited activity includes:
- accessing private data or accounts without authorization;
- credential theft, phishing, malware, fraud, or evasion of access controls;
- spam, deceptive engagement, targeted harassment, stalking, or unlawful surveillance;
- publishing or distributing illegal content or content that infringes another person's rights;
- reselling access in a way that conceals end-user abuse or bypasses ThreadQuery limits;
- interfering with the service, probing other customers, or creating abusive load; or
- using the service after suspension or helping another person evade enforcement.
The Abuse policy explains how to report suspected misuse.
5. Free beta and credits
ThreadQuery is currently offered as a limited free evaluation. Evaluation credits permit use of the service during the beta and may be limited, changed, or discontinued as the service evolves.
Credits are a limited license to consume ThreadQuery services. They are not money or stored value and cannot be transferred, withdrawn, redeemed for cash, or sold. ThreadQuery does not currently accept customer payments. Paid-service terms will be published before paid access opens.
Future Enterprise arrangements may include separate capacity, retention, support, billing, or availability terms. Signed or expressly accepted Enterprise terms control where they conflict with these terms.
6. Customer-authorized actions
Account actions run through the specific connected account you select. ThreadQuery uses scoped API keys, idempotency controls, pacing, budgets, and encrypted session storage to reduce risk, but no technical control eliminates all risk.
You remain responsible for the content and consequences of actions you authorize. X may limit, suspend, or terminate accounts based on activity performed through the service. ThreadQuery does not automatically retry an action when the upstream outcome is ambiguous.
7. Availability and changes
The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, security events, upstream changes, exhausted capacity, network failures, or other conditions. No uptime commitment or service-level agreement applies unless included in separate written Enterprise terms.
We may add, remove, limit, or change features, endpoints, prices, and credit costs. Material changes will be communicated through the website, dashboard, or account email when reasonably practical.
8. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risk, legal obligations, or a material breach of these terms. When circumstances permit, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue.
You may stop using the service at any time and may request account closure through [email protected]. Disconnecting an X account destroys its active credential envelopes, while usage, security, and audit records may be retained as described in the Privacy policy.
9. Ownership and third-party material
ThreadQuery retains rights in its software, documentation, branding, and original website content. These terms do not grant ownership of X data or other third-party material. Your use of returned data remains subject to applicable law and third-party rights.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThreadQuery is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, continued availability, or legality of upstream data for your intended use.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThreadQuery will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
ThreadQuery's total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of USD 100 or the amount you paid to ThreadQuery during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where applicable law does not allow them.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify ThreadQuery against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, content or actions you authorize, violation of these terms, or infringement of another person's rights. This obligation applies only to the extent permitted by law.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before a court with competent jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, or operational changes. The effective date above will change when revised terms are published. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
Questions about these terms may be sent to [email protected].
